Emergency Meeting Held in North Korea to Address Flood Damage
In recent days, North Phyongan and Jagang provinces in North Korea have been severely affected by floods and heavy rains, causing extensive damage to public buildings, facilities, roads, railways, and thousands of hectares of farmland. In response, the 22nd emergency enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) was convened in Sinuiju City, North Phyongan Province from July 29 to 30 to discuss urgent recovery measures.
Led by Kim Jong Un, the respected leader of North Korea, the meeting brought together key officials and experts to assess the extent of the damage and devise a plan for restoration.
