Control Risks, a global risk consultancy firm, has partnered with Oxford Economics to launch the Africa Risk-Reward Index. This index aims to provide investors and businesses with valuable insights into the risks and rewards of operating in various African countries.

In recent years, Africa has emerged as a promising destination for foreign investment due to its growing middle class, abundant natural resources, and increasing political stability. However, doing business in Africa is not without its challenges. Political instability, corruption, inadequate infrastructure, and security threats are some of the risks that companies must navigate in order to succeed on the continent.

The Africa Risk-Reward Index will evaluate the political, economic, and operational risks in 27 African countries, providing a comprehensive assessment of the business environment in each country. This will enable companies to make more informed decisions about where to invest and how to manage their risks effectively.

With the launch of this index, Control Risks and Oxford Economics aim to support businesses in identifying opportunities and mitigating risks in Africa. By providing valuable data and insights, the Africa Risk-Reward Index will help companies unlock the continent’s full potential and contribute to its sustainable development.
