Yerevan, July 30, (Armenpress) — The President’s office announced on Tuesday the appointment of Karen Grigoryan as the Armenian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Grigoryan, who currently serves as the Armenian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will now concurrently oversee diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia.
The formalization of the appointment was executed by President Vahagn Khachaturyan upon the recommendation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
This new diplomatic development comes on the heels of a significant milestone in Armenia-Saudi Arabia relations. In November 2023, both nations signed a protocol establishing official diplomatic ties, marking a new chapter in their bilateral relations.
