At the forum on investment and trade between Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia in Addis Ababa, a signing ceremony was held for the establishment of a joint Saudi-Ethiopian Business Council. The document was signed by representatives of the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The aim of the new council is to strengthen economic co-operation between the countries. The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers Hassan Al-Huwaizi, more than 250 investors, as well as Ethiopian ministers and representatives of public and private entities from both countries.
Al-Huwaizi noted that the establishment of the council was the result of years of efforts between the two countries and will provide a platform for exchanging information and establishing commercial ties between Saudi and Ethiopian businessmen. This is reported by

The forum discussed investment opportunities in Ethiopia, including industrial zones, agriculture, energy and other economic sectors of interest to both sides.
