The Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) has set its sights on furthering the development and prosperity of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) through a series of transformative policies. Recently, the WPK announced a new initiative to construct advanced public health facilities, sci-tech dissemination centers, and grain management facilities in cities and counties across the country.
Under the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Un, a consultative meeting was held on August 31 to discuss the regional development project aimed at accelerating the overall prosperity and development of the regions as a Party policy. The meeting included key members of the WPK Central Committee, provincial party committees, members of the Korean People’s Army, and officials in the field of design.
Kim Jong Un emphasized the importance of implementing the Party’s regional development strategy as a crucial step in advancing the Korean revolution and the historic cause of regional rejuvenation. The new construction tasks focus on public health, science and technology dissemination, and grain management facilities to improve the material and cultural life of the regional people.
The WPK’s regional development policy goes beyond building light industry factories and instead aims to create a comprehensive policy that addresses public health, science, and education, with the goal of improving the efficiency of regional development. Kim Jong Un stressed the importance of building advanced city and county hospitals, scientific and technological dissemination bases, and grain management facilities to enhance the well-being of the people.
The consultative meeting discussed detailed practical measures to ensure the feasibility of the three-point construction essential for regional development, including reinforcing KPA units at all levels and establishing a central policy guidance system over the construction sector. Kim Jong Un expressed his belief that these projects are crucial for the welfare of the local people in the long term and urged all officials to work responsibly to bring about significant changes in the regions.
The noble sense of mission and practical ability of the WPK, under the guidance of Kim Jong Un, is driving a new era of socialist civilization and prosperity in the DPRK.
