Addis Ababa, June 12, 2024(Addis Walta) The Ethiopian Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, has held a high-level discussion with the Greek Ambassador to Ethiopia, Anna Farrou, to discuss fostering bilateral relations between the two nations.
Ambassador Mesganu emphasised the historical significance of the relationships between Ethiopia and Greece and believes that these connections should be strengthened at all levels – culturally, economically, and politically. He pointed out that ongoing political communication and consultation are paramount in order to achieve stronger and more resilient bilateral ties.
Recalling the rich historical precedence of Ethiopian-Greek relations rooted in both ancient and modern times, the Ethiopian diplomat underlined the importance of reciprocal ties in the spheres of socio-economic development, tourism, education, and diplomatic cooperation. He stressed the need for robust cooperation, liaising initiatives, and frequent dialogue between the two countries to synergise their bilateral partnerships.
In the meeting, the two officials also deliberated on key areas of mutual interest and exchanged views on various regional and global issues of common concern.
