A meeting was held in Sarajevo, as reported by the Iran Press news agency, with the participation of Abuzar Ebrahimi, the ambassador of Iran to Sarajevo, Hossein Divsalar, the secretary of the Supreme Council of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communications, Mohammad Hossein Ansari, the cultural attaché of Iran, and Imanipour, the head of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communications. The participants discussed the historical, cultural, and religious commonalities between nations, emphasizing the influential writers and poets from Mostar who have contributed to the promotion of Persian language and literature in the Balkans.
Fevzi Mostari, a notable Bosnian writer, was highlighted for his work “Bulbulistan” in 1739, which is considered a significant piece in the Bosnian literary tradition. The sisterhood agreement between Mostar and Isfahan was also mentioned, underscoring the importance of collaboration in scientific, cultural, artistic, and library fields.
Minister Adnan Velagić expressed appreciation for the presence of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization in Mostar and offered support for enhancing cooperation in scientific, cultural, and sports domains. Mostar, located in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, is renowned for its cultural and historical significance.
