Addis Ababa, June 10, 2024 (Addis Walta) Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s leading aviation company, has launched a new thrice-weekly service to Maun, Botswana, starting on June 10, 2024, with flights scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Maun, known as the tourism capital of Botswana, now becomes Ethiopian Airlines’ second destination in the country, following Gaborone, which has been served since 2016.

Speaking at the inaugural flight ceremony, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mesfin Tasew, stated, “The addition of Maun to our African network provides travelers from the region with seamless access to Ethiopian Airlines’ extensive global network spanning over 135 destinations.”

He emphasized that the new flight to Maun will enhance tourism, trade, and overall socio-economic relationships between Botswana and Ethiopian Airlines’ global destinations.

Ethiopian Airlines has the largest network operating to over 60 destinations within Africa, providing convenient intra-Africa and global connections through its main hub in Addis Ababa.

The launch ceremony was attended by the Botswanan Ambassador to Ethiopia, Mr. Tebelelo Alfred Boang, and Ethiopian Airlines’ management staff.
