The First Historical Archive of China, which specialises in materials from the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, has opened a reading room for the general public. This is reported by
Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
Visitors can access more than 3,000 copies of historical materials from the institution’s collection. The action is timed to coincide with International Archives Day, which falls on 9 June every year.
Founded in 1925, the archive has published some 3,500 copies of documents relating to the Ming and Qing dynasties.
