India News Manch 2024: Key Insights from Lok Sabha MP Chandrashekhar Azad on Indian Politics

At the India News Manch 2024 event held at the Le Meridien Hotel in Connaught Place, New Delhi, Lok Sabha MP Chandrashekhar Azad shared his candid perspectives on a range of political topics. The event, hosted by India News UP’s resident editor Ajeet Singh, provided a platform for in-depth discussions on UP and national politics, with notable mentions of figures like Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati.

    Completing the Unfinished Work

Kicking off the session, Azad emphasized his dedication to completing his "unfulfilled work." He remarked, "Whatever we want to do, it has just started, and we vow to complete our incomplete work." This statement reflects his commitment to his political agenda and the continuous efforts to address the issues he has championed.

    Praise for Mayawati

In the middle of the session, Azad responded to questions about the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Chief Mayawati. Addressing rumors of her alleged insecurity regarding the shift of the Dalit vote to Azad’s party, he said, "Have you seen her being scared? You can try, but she isn’t one to get scared. There is no stronger politician than Mayawati in Indian politics." He further lauded Mayawati’s remarkable achievement of becoming the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh four times, despite the societal challenges she faced.

    Views on Akhilesh Yadav

Azad also shared his views on Akhilesh Yadav, a significant figure in UP politics. When questioned about the failed talks between himself and Yadav, Azad suggested that Akhilesh should consider Mata Prasad Pandey for the Chief Ministership of UP in 2027. He emphasized the importance of inclusive thinking, noting, "Yadav should think about everybody. Moreover, they are here for the Dalit community and other sections." He also highlighted that his party now contests elections on their own for 10 seats.

National Leaders: Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi

When asked about his views on national leaders Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi, Azad took a broader perspective. "I consider common people as powerful," he said, highlighting that the electorate has the ultimate authority. He cited the BJP’s campaign strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, questioning the necessity for 400 seats. Azad asserted that arrogance led to a public decision to curb such power, showcasing the people’s role in democratic checks and balances.

    Conclusion

The India News Manch 2024 session provided a platform for leaders like Chandrashekhar Azad to share their insights and perspectives on current and future political landscapes. The event was marked by the presence of various union leaders and opposition figures, enriching the discourse on the nation’s evolving political scenario. Such events underscore the dynamic and ever-changing nature of Indian politics, driven by the visions and actions of its diverse leaders.
