As a fresh dawn arises on the business aviation sector in Latin America, Bombardier, the Canadian aircraft manufacturing giant, radiates buoyant confidence. This was explicitly evident as the company kicked-off its Brazilian aircraft demonstration tour at the Catarina Aviation Show.

The undulating wings of the ultra-long-range Global 7500 and the sublime super-midsize Challenger 3500 paint a never-before-seen spectacle this week at Brazil’s renowned Catarina Aviation Show. History unfolds as Bombardier emphasizes its optimistic outlook on the business aviation market in Latin America, with Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina being at the heart of this blossoming horizon.

Historically, Latin America has been a vibrant hub for trade and transport – its robust growth over the decades evident in its business aviation sector. Seeing this potential, Bombardier is stepping up its efforts to engage with this dynamic market. With these grand showcases in the Catarina Aviation Show, Bombardier signifies its intent to strengthen its presence and engagement in Latin America.

Latin America’s aviation industry dates back to the late 19th century when Clement Ader, a French flight pioneer, completed a short hop in his steam-powered craft, marking the inception of aircraft transportation in the region. Since then, the industry has seen a vibrant evolution. Famous aviators such as Santos Dumont and Alberto Santos-Dumont carried the legacy forward in Brazil, while in Mexico, Fuerzas Aéreas Expedicionarias Mexicanas made significant contributions during the Second World War. In Argentina, the notable Fábrica Argentina de Aviones, more commonly known as Fadea, made its mark in the global aviation industry.

Today, Bombardier’s presence at the Catarina Aviation Show exemplifies the company’s optimistic forecast for the future of business aviation in Latin America. By featuring its state-of-the-art aircraft models – the Global 7500 and the Challenger 3500 – the Canadian manufacturer hopes to plant a flag as a leading player in Latin America’s burgeoning business aviation market.
